Poland.gg

Terms of Service

Effective date: February 8, 2026

Welcome to poland.gg! These terms explain how the site works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you. We've tried to keep them clear and readable — no one enjoys decoding legal jargon.

Poland.gg is run by Matt Rybin, trading as MATT RYBIN MATTRYBIN (NIP: 6793260169, REGON: 524468418), based in Kraków, Poland.

What Poland.gg Is

We're building a platform where you can find every fact about Poland in one place.

That starts with government statistics — GUS (Główny Urząd Statystyczny), BDL, TERYT, REGON, DBW, and other official databases — but it doesn't stop there. We also aggregate data from publicly available sources like OpenStreetMap, and over time we plan to bring in even more: real estate, job markets, vehicles, consumer trends, and anything else that helps paint a complete picture of Poland.

We organize, visualize, and add context to all of this data to make it fast and easy to explore. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by GUS or any other government body — we're an independent platform that brings their data (and others') together in one place.

A Note on Data Accuracy

We do our best to present data accurately, but we can't guarantee that every number is perfectly up to date or error-free. Data may be delayed, rounded, or aggregated differently from the original source. For official government statistics, you can always verify against the original sources like stat.gov.pl.

Please don't use poland.gg as the sole basis for legal, financial, business, or policy decisions. We're here to make the data accessible, not to replace official sources.

What You Can Do

You're welcome to browse, reference, and link to poland.gg freely. If you cite data from the site in research, journalism, or other work, just attribute the original source (GUS, OpenStreetMap, etc.) — that's good practice regardless.

We do ask that you don't:

  • Scrape or bulk-download content from the site
  • Copy substantial portions of our design, text, or structure
  • Use the site in ways that disrupt it for others
  • Repackage our work as your own

Free and Paid Features

Poland.gg is built to be open to everyone. Our goal is to keep exploring, browsing, and researching data on the platform free for as long as we can — that's the whole point of building this.

Paid annual subscriptions are available for professionals who need data exports and advanced features, billed through Stripe. Here's how those work:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • You can cancel anytime in your account settings — you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period
  • If you think a refund is warranted, get in touch and we'll figure it out together
  • If we change pricing, we'll give you 30 days' notice — your current subscription stays at the old price until it renews
  • We may adjust or retire paid features over time, but we'll give you reasonable notice

Stripe handles all payment processing — we never see or store your card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply on their end.

Intellectual Property

The underlying data comes from government databases, OpenStreetMap, and other public sources — we don't claim ownership of it. What we do add is significant work on top: we process, normalize, and restructure raw data into a consistent format organized around Poland's administrative borders, making it reproducible and comparable across regions and time periods. That processed data, along with our design, visualizations, analysis, and code, is our original work. Please don't reproduce it without permission.

Third-Party Services

We use a handful of third-party services for things like analytics, hosting, and payments. They have their own terms and privacy practices — see our Privacy Policy for the details.

Assignment and Transfer

Poland.gg is currently operated as a personal project under Matt Rybin's sole proprietorship. As the platform grows, we plan to move it into a dedicated limited liability company (sp. z o.o.) to give it a proper home. When that happens, your rights under these terms won't change — if anything, a more formal structure means better long-term stability for the platform and your data.

We may also transfer the site to a related entity in the future for operational or legal reasons. We'll update the Operator Details on this page whenever that happens so you always know who's behind poland.gg.

Limitation of Liability

Poland.gg is provided "as is." We can't guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free, and we're not liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site, or from any inaccuracies in the data.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you're okay with the new terms.
